PTAQ April Workshop: Enhancing Senior Psychology with PsychVolt: Data‑Informed and Interactive Teaching

Our next PTAQ professional learning workshop will be held on Tuesday 21 April at 4:00 pm, delivered online via Zoom presented by Damien Sundgren. This session will introduce teachers to PsychVolt, a curriculum‑aligned digital platform designed to streamline senior psychology teaching, assessment, and data‑informed practice.

Damien Sundgren is a secondary psychology teacher and the founder of PsychVolt. He is passionate about creating psychology classrooms that prioritise engaging, hands‑on learning experiences, and believes digital tools can support teachers and students to work together in shared interactive learning environments through simulations, experiments, and collaborative tools.

PsychVolt is a curriculum‑aligned platform for senior psychology teachers that provides:

• A dashboard showing your entire class’s understanding and confidence across content areas
• Rapid resource generation for tests, summaries, and revision materials
• Live psychology experiments and practical classroom activities
• Data analysis tools for statistics, graphs, correlations, outliers, and common data misconceptions
• Assessment tools for IA1–IA4, including data tests, draft completeness checkers, and scaffolds
• Teacher workflow tools for managing classes and distributing resources efficiently

This workshop will demonstrate how PsychVolt can streamline common teaching tasks in senior psychology.

The session will include:

• Overview of key PsychVolt tools and features
• Generating weekly, monthly, or term‑based revision resources from existing teaching materials
• Tracking student understanding across topics and learning outcomes
• Creating classes and distributing resources to students efficiently

The session will include a live demonstration of the platform.
