The Psychology Teachers Association of Queensland (PTAQ) is a non-for profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting Psychology within schools by facilitating and leading professional development through hosting events and providing resources. The executive board is comprised of secondary school teachers with passion and experience teaching Psychology within Queensland schools.
As a relatively new subject, it is important that secondary school teachers receive quality professional development and resources to complement the teaching and learning within Psychology. It is our aim, in collaboration with tertiary institutions and other educational bodies, to provide such opportunities to members by facilitating events, workshops and other educational opportunities.
Our growing network of specialist teachers don’t just share a passion for teaching Psychology – they are also some of the most generous teachers in the industry. PTAQ are proud to provide a platform of collegial collaboration to assist teachers at all stages of the Psychology teaching.
